The next meeting of Bible Study takes place Wednesday, September 16 at 10AM in the Chase Room. During the last session and planned for the upcoming session, the group was/is discussing the Didache, also known as the The Lord’s Teaching Through the Twelve Apostles to the Nations. This early Christian treatise (written in Koine Greek and dated by scholars to the late first or early second century AD) constitutes one of the oldest extant catechisms of the early church. It covers such topics as Christian ethics, rituals such as baptism and Eucharist, and Church organization. Following the study of the Didache, the group will resume its study of the Acts of the Apostles with Rev. Carole continuing to present the origins and impact of this monumental compendium.
